“When my children were young I always tried to tell them I loved them, fearful of things happening. As my son got older and he was at work and places it would embarrass him so we made up a phrase: ‘The Heme is the Heme’ and if I wrote a note or told someone to tell him that it meant ‘I love you.’ My son passed away this year so this quilt was made with the hope that even now it echoes throughout eternity that I still love you, son!”
